The European stock indices are ending the day with mixed results:
- German Dax rose 0.1%
- France’s CAC rose 0.4%
- UK’s FTSE rose 0.6%
- Spain’s Ibex fell -0.5%
- Italy’s FTSE MIB fell -0.85%
- Portugal’s PSI 20 fell -0.17%
In other markets as London/European traders look to exit for the trading day:
- Spot gold is trading down $2.70 or -0.22% at $1208.68. The precious metal has reverse earlier gains as the dollar rebounded a bit
- WTI crude oil futures are trading down $.16 or -0.23% at $68.71
US stocks are mixed after being higher earlier in the session:
- S&P indexes down -2.84 points or -0.10% at 2893.84
- NASDAQ composite index is down 6 points or -0.8% at 8012
- Dow industrial average is up 4 points or 0.02% at 26055
US yields remain higher but off the high levels for the day with the yield curve moving marginally higher.
In the forex market, the USD is no longer the weakest currency on the day (the GBP is not the weakest). The CHF remains the strongest currency.
